

Much of the book takes place in Lia, a village near the Greek-Albanian border. Eleni is no idealized saint, but her devotion to her children's survival is an example of motherhood's very best qualities. Cash awards are $500 for first $250 for second and $100 for third place. A People’s Choice award for each category will be voted by exhibition attendees. Awards include first, second and third cash prize winners and six Juror’s Choice awards. Entries who were chosen by festival jurors, approximately 140, will be exhibited in person.

The festival's Art and Photography Exhibition had nearly 500 entries from 53 towns and cities throughout Massachusetts, as well as number of entries from out of state. The festival will once again be held at locations around the newly renovated Grafton Common including the Great Hall, Apple Tree Arts at One Grafton Common, the Grafton Public Library at 35 Grafton Common and the Grafton Congregational Church at 30 Grafton Common.
